UBER AND LYFT FACE COMPETITION

by Hale Akab

For the last decade, Uber and Lyft have cornered the market on the Rideshare industry. But in the wake of the recent threat to shutdown in California rather than adhere to a law passed the previous year, and Politicians in DC scrambling to develop alternatives should the crisis come to a head come election time when California votes Yes or No on Prop 22, Tech Insiders are predicting a new transportation app that is quickly becoming a rider favorite and could be on track to beat out both Uber and Lyft. The app is called UDRYV, a travel based technology that provides navigation, access to gas stations and convenience stores, and pin point accurate location indicators to assist drivers and riders in getting to their destination.

UDRYV's creators, Howe Long II and G.E. Thare, boast of the app's ability to assist drivers and passengers to reach destinations with weather and local road condition data that utilize active updates to consistently provide up-to-the-minute accuracy, as opposed to the last-minute accuracy utilized by both Uber and Lyft. Howe Long II insists, "People love to drive themselves. It is safer than sharing a ride with a complete stranger, think of the health benefits. And, with active updates, technology that neither Uber or Lyft utilize, they can avoid bad weather that may affect road conditions, or with Road Don't Drive Assist technology, or ROADDA for short, they can avoid road maintenance, accidents, or simply routes that might take the drivers longer to travel. It's a dawn of a new era for people who like to travel. They no longer have to rely on rideshare apps and drivers that are inefficient, or sometimes, inept, that may not truly know the city which they are operating, and can rely on themselves to get where they're going." G.E. Thare went on to share a future update where the vehicles will have SELF DRYV technology so that the riders can just let the car or truck drive itself, but advised that we are "still a few years away from that being a fully viable solution to UDRYV's self-based operations that are working so well on their own."

UDRYV does recommend that drivers who have any impairments that may hinder their ability to transport themselves, to continue using the UBER and LYFT technologies because "sometimes you just can't risk yourself or others when you know you're in no condition to drive, but need to have someone else make sure you get there safely." They hope that all apps will have a place in society and can work cohesively with one another.

UDRYV has already launched in many countries and has been tested for a number of years to help assist in it's user based learning algorithm. It is available for both iPhone and Android.

NEW S'MASK DESIGN GETS S'NUBBED

by Ryan O'Plasti

Since the onset of the pandemic in the United States, mid-March 2020, Designers have been scrambling to produce face masks to cover America, initially, in an urgency to get them to the public, but now, top labels are designing masks to fit users with a style that is both sleek and multi-functional, wearable all day without wearing out or falling off. One such manufacturer thinks they may have created the perfect design, one with no strings attached, and is comfortable, but some Americans say that the design is poorly inceptionalized and doesn't fit every wearer as claimed.

PROBOSCIS, maker of famed facial haustellums for such exclusive clientele as Dustin Hoffman, Elton John and even the Queen of England, claims that their new SN'OUT design will "not wear out and will wear all day." However, since the technology is based on the size of the nose of the user, people with small noses have raised a stink about the style. "People with more petite columella can't get the s'mask to stay on their faces." Protesters of the design are demanding a gag and muzzle order be procured to prevent PROBOSCIS from manufacturing their SN'OUT s'mask, "which is not a good fit for all people" and force them to go back to the drawing board and design a s'mask where placement be architected around cheek bone structure rather than rostrum size.

PROBOSCIS Product Director discounts any claims that their s'masks are unfitting to all, and that their One-Size is intended for One-People, "Homo Sapiens, to be more specific. We're all just one big ephemerality."

BODIES FOUND

by Diggit Upp

Upon the release of the new active shooter gaming app, KILLSHOT, launched from Trace Elements Entertainment's Gaming Division, a mysterious menagerie of Sapien style art was found by authorities.

After an elite investigation into the gruesome finding of human dilapidation by highly trained officers, skilled in the art and analysis of wanderlust killings, it has been determined that the horrendous execution and display of bodies that were uncovered are in no way directly related to the KILLSHOT app. Although price-points soared upon the discovery, the gaming division of Trace Elements denies any correlation to the killings, or that it's gaming app was, in any way, influential or accountable for the dastardly crime.

The discovery of bodies was described by one investigative officer, as "an unusual, psychopathological work of art. There were brush strokes made in blood, the body parts were arranged to formulate a pattern, kind of cubist, and very abstract. It reminded me of the recently famous, newly deceased artist Homer Sapien's artwork, which always turned my stomach, but some art enthusiasts just gobbled up his work. However, pertaining to the killings, I fear that it may be years before we understand the meaning behind such a morbid exhibition." Another officer exclaimed, "I've been tugging at my ears and pulling my hair out trying to understand it. All we can really do is study it and hope to comprehend its meaning, some day."

The makers of KILLSHOT, however, state that the gaming app is merely more like laser tag, finding various willing candidates that have created accounts and agreed to be both hunter and hunted. A representative of the company professed, "No one dies for real in our game, and definitely not in a display of horrific macabre. That's definitely outside the scope of our game, although, might be something worth looking into if players request such lurid killing choices. But, there'd definitely have to be a waiver to engage in those kind of killing options, for both hunter and prey players."

KILLSHOT retails with gaming merchant suppliers for $59.95 + agent fees and executable taxes.
